I am extremely curious by nature, so don't take offense at my questions. Or statements.
I can be very confrontational or not at all.
I swear that someone changed the spelling of definitely on me from 'definately' to 'definitely'.
I am Pro-Choice, but not sure how I feel about abortion itself.
I hate those animal rights groups that destroy labs and let the animals out. You seriously just killed the animals by doing that...and think about the lives saved because of animal research?
I am for Animal Welfare.
I am Pro-Stem Cell Research...it could save lives. But I do not agree with complete human or animal cloning.
I am Anti-War, but I do not want an immediate withdrawal that will put our troops into danger. I understand the reasons for war, but I believe that humanity jumps to violence much too quickly.
I try to live and interact with people by the philosophy that rationality is relative.
I believe everyone should speak at least three languages fluently, and be familiar with the other major world languages.
I am independent; not elephant or donkey, or anything else. I think what I want to think about politics, I vote for what I believe is the correct course of action from the facts, and you will not persuade me from it. My votes and opinions change, from election to election depending on who is running, what I feel is important, and what the candidates' stances are on the issues.
I love Family Guy.
I see no problem with teaching evolution in scientific classrooms.
I think the way to combat overpopulation, the AIDS epidemic, poverty, etc is with education, not medical intervention to prevent reproduction.
I think the US should switch to the metric system (duh). And, the US needs to seriously up its educational system level...so we do not look like such retards to the rest of the world.
I am for gun control, in that there should be consistent guidelines between states for obtaining permits and obtaining weapons. I do plan to get my concealed weapons permit, I enjoy shooting guns on a range, and if it is a right in guaranteed to us in the Constitution, it should be regulated correctly with education, not restriction.
I am tired of hearing about Hurricane Katrina and New Orleans.
I am not sure how I feel about making (or not) English the national language. I do think if you come to this country, you should learn English. We might not have a national language or two or three, but that's how we were founded so, suck it up. You want to be here, speak English.....but I also think that with a national language, we cannot grow into an internationally-supportive community.
I hate the "melting pot" analogy for what the United States is.
I am not sure how I feel about gay marriage. I can see both sides of the story....so to speak.;-)
