The Tale of Mr. Yolk
The Tale of Mr. Yolk.
There was a man that was very fascinated with eggs. He had photographs of eggs all over his house and he changed his name to Egg Yolk. Everyday, he would go door to door in his neighborhood to try to educate people about eggs but noone paid him any attention. Mr. Yolk still didn’t give up. He posted a sign near his cedar tree saying that if anyone would like to learn more about eggs, all they had to do was knock on his door or call him to discuss eggs with him. Noone knocked on Mr. Yolk’s door or called him during the first week. He was very sad and he had almost lost hope.
During the second week, Mr. Yolk got a phone call. “Hello” Mr. Yolk answered. “Hi, is this Mr. Egg Yolk?” a man asked. “Well this sure is!” replied Mr. Yolk in excitement. “Mr. Egg would it be okay if I came by your house to show you some eggs?” asked the man with a strange voice. Mr. Yolk was so happy that someone wanted to show him some eggs. “Come right over. I am very Egg-cited to see those eggs!” said a happy Mr. Yolk. The man said that they would come over in a few minutes. Mr. Yolk tidied his house and he was ready to serve his new friend some egg soup and some egg tea. This was the first time ever that someone wanted to talk to him about eggs or show him some eggs. Mr. Yolk saw a green truck turn the corner near his house. He knew it had to be the man inquiring about eggs. Mr. Yolk walked out his door to greet the man.
When the car drove by Mr. Yolk’s house, about 50 eggs flew out of the window flying towards Mr. Yolk’s house. His house was now egged. It was a total mess. Mr. Yolk didn’t know that the man wanted to show him some eggs by throwing them at his house. He got so upset because the man had trashed his house. Mr. Yolk decided that the best thing to do was to start a new life and move to china in the fall of 2006. He has now lived in china for two years and he has become a writer. He writes for a local China newspaper and has written a book. His book is titled “The Flower of Eggs”. He hopes that his book will make people become as fascinated about eggs as he is. Unfortunately, no one has purchased his book yet. It seems as though eggs will never be as important as they are to Mr. Yolk.

I can't believe no one made a comment on this story! I guess it just wasn't good enough.
