Progressive U Creative Writing

After my doctor’s appointment we decide to go to my house and get a few things. When we get there I unlock the door and go check the messages. There’s a message from Josh’s friend’s mom, Trixie, and one from Veronica. I go up and pack more clothes, while Brent raids the fridge and takes anything that will spoil. Then we grab some snacks and head to his house. When we get there he carries all my stuff in and I get out and follow. He helps me up the stairs and runs a bath for me again. This time I put in extra bubbles. I go and get myself a towel and he let me alone for about fifteen minutes. He comes and knocks on the door.
“Hey, I’m kind of getting bored with no one to talk to. Mind if I come in?”
“Not really.”
“Well, let’s talk then.” He walks in. All he has on are his shorts. (Remember he used to lift weights and has a nice 6-pack.) “So you having fun?”
“Yeah, amazingly enough. I’m not used to spending so much time with one person. Surprisingly though I don’t mind too much.”
“I thought you would be bored to death by now. I’m kinda glad you aren’t. I mean I don’t want you to think I’m desperate or anything, but I don’t like being by myself.”
“No, you just like to be around people you care about. I can’t blame you for that.”
“Do you need help with anything?”
“Actually I do can you help me with my air casts when I get out?”
“Sure. Need help with anything else.”
“No...I have to get to know you better to need help with anymore than that. Thank you. I’m watching you. Got that mister.”
“I hear you loud and clear. I’ll wait out in the hall for you to call me.” He goes out in the hall and waits for me as I get dried off and dressed. I call him in and he carries me to the bed and sets the alarm for 6:45 AM. Then he sets my air casts in place
“Can I sleep in the bed again or should I sleep on the floor?”
“I’ll give you one more chance. You can sleep in the bed as long as you don’t try any funny business, Buster Brown.” He gets in on the other side. I kiss him good night and we go to sleep.
Beep! Beep! Beep! The alarm droned on as I looked at it, telling me that it’s 6:45 and I need to get up. I sit up, reach over, and turn it off. Brent is still sleeping. I roll over and nudge him in the side. He looks at me and smiles. Leaning down he kisses me good morning. He gets out of bed and helps me with my air casts. I put my t-shirt on while he is getting ready to go. Then he helps me downstairs. We sit at the kitchen table and eat breakfast. Nothing special, just some cereal and toast. Brent takes my stuff to the Jeep. It is now 7:10 and we need to go, so he takes my crutches out and carries me outside. He sits down on the seat and I buckle myself in. Once at school we see Lee and Veronica. We get out and they walk towards us. We say our hellos. I tell them I need to go check in at the office so I can get out at noon. We walk there and Lee has to get to work, so Veronica takes me to get my early dismissal pass. Brent tells me he is going to pick me up and that we are then going to the pier, because he has to work until four o’clock and he doesn’t want to leave me where he can’t come check up on me.
Veronica carries my things until we run into Laura, who then carries my books for me to home room. We sit there and talk about the last couple of days. I tell her how Brent got us out of school early and how we all fell a couple of times. I also told her how I hurt myself. I left out the part about Brent asking me out. Remember, we both decided that we weren’t going to tell anyone we were going out.
The bell rings and Laura and I head for French. We carry on our conversation in french during class. We talk about Lee and the Christmas Ball. (I get my air casts off the day before Christmas Ball. I can’t wait.) After class we go back to speaking English and I make my way to the pool for aquatics. I find my teacher and tell her I can’t participate for the next four weeks and she asks me what happened. I told her I was in a snow boarding accident and she gave me some work to do as I was watching the class swim laps.
The next few periods went by pretty quickly. I saw Veronica and told her to meet me after school at the bay. She said alright. It was now about noon and I finally have all my homework together and set off for the office. When I get there Brent is already there waiting for me. I sign myself out and he grabs my book bag from me and then we leave.
