I'd read anything but romance in a heart beat. My passions lie in reading physics, science of anything, chemistry, and politics. For fun I also read history books. I'm not always boring though. I love fantasy novels, fiction, and anything I can get my hands on. I'm just passionate about learning is all.
I'm in China... I usually ask my friend for a brief outline of the news, but I read a few from whatever sources I have time to get offline. Mainly Reuters since it is not blocked here. When I was in the States, it was CNN and BBC.
I wouldn't say I have a favorite news source. I like to get news from a variety of sources.
New York Times and Comcast.net.

The more the merrier. But BBC News is my homepage, actually.
Books are my other passion. I love Midsummer Night's Dream and Macbeth by Shakespeare. I also love anything by Philippa Gregory and of course all the Harry Potter books. Usually, if you hand me a book about something historical, I'll devour it. I read about one book each week, but more if I have the time!
I hate watching the news. It absolutely, totally, and completely depresses me. I know it's naive not to know about what is going on in the world, but I get my news from what I hear in class or from other people.
Jane Eyre, Catcher in the Rye, Animal Farm, Stargirl, Fahrenheit 451, The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail, Memoirs of a Geisha, works by Shakespeare, Edgar Alan Poe, Terry Pratchett... I could go on but I'll spare you. ;D

The Bible, Kingdom Come, Sarah, The Birth of Venus, In the Time of the Butterflies, The believer, such a pretty girl, The 5 love languages... I'm always up for something new, so let me know of any good reads I should be aware of.
I hate the passive flow of negativity you get from t.v. so I don't watch it... atleast not the news. I have a weakness for South Park, but that's besides the point cu? I get the majority of my news from the internet and word of mouth, I surround myself with intelligent people-I don't need to listen to some idiot on tv only concerned with ratings.
