Imagery Challenge

Hello once again.

It's time for yet another writing challenge. Once again, if you successfully complete this challenge, you will be awarded 100 points towards the Blogging for Progress scholarship.

Your challenge is: write a poem or story in which you vividly describe a common household object. Use enough imagery to allow someone to identify the object without you naming it.

Please read the rules below very carefully. Should you not follow them exactly, I will not award you any points, and will potentially take points away from you.

1) Write your poem/story.
2) Post your poem/story under the appropriate category on this site (post a poem as a poem, and a story as a story).
3) Copy the URL found in the address bar of your browser.
4) Fill out THIS FORM with all the correct information. Submit it, and you're set.
5) All this must be done before May 3, 2008 at 10 pm PDT.

If you have any questions, you can PM mvenus929, or e-mail us at info@progressiveu.org.

    You show me the future
    A brighter place
    An aspiring woman
With hopeful dreams but not much faith

    You show what’s behind me
    And truly, what’s around
When I feel vain, I look away
But you’re always in that same place

    You fog and I wipe
Stare into the eyes that I can’t lie to
Foresee the future? Or just the present?
A question in which lays in the hands of the beholder

    When I stand here,
I can picture what the world could be like
The Infidelity that human nature brings
    Slowly drifts away
As I imagine a place that takes no resemblance
